Big sister

Kylee loves being a big sister! She is always wanting to hold them, play with them, read to them, carry them, make them laugh, and much more. I have to regulate her a little bit, so she doesn't over-whelm them. She forgets that they aren't toys. It's fun to see how happy she is with them.

Braydon and Brooklyn were wide awake last night, so of course we had to take pictures. It was hard to get pictures of them both looking at the camera. He looks a little concerned, but still so cute! I love having twins!

Happy Father

I love this picture of Wes with his son. He was trying to show me how much they look alike. What do you think? They have the same hairline. He also has a similar personality to Wes--very expressive.

Our Cute Twins!

Yes! My babies are here. This picture was taken right after they were born. Don't I look happy! It was so amazing. Braydon and Brooklyn were born December 27, 2009 at 3:52 pm and 4:00 pm. Everyone was healthy. Brooklyn did have to go to the NICU briefly for a little help with her breathing, but was able to leave after just a few hours. They both weighed just under 6 lbs. each and were 18 1/2 and 19 inches long. They were closer to the same size than we thought from their ultra sounds. The day they were born, there were two other sets of boy and girl twins born. There seem to be lots of twins these days!

Just one day before the babies are born! I was so big and miserable. I kept timing my contractions to see if they were regular, so I could go to the hospital. We even went to Costco and walked around to see if that would get things rolling. No luck, but it did make my feet and legs even more swollen. By midnight, I couldn't bend my ankles or toes. My legs and feet were so painful. My skin was shiny. It looked like my feet could pop at any moment. Little did I know that my twins would be born the next day!

Last Day of Work--

Posted by PicasaFriday was my last day of work. I will have to go back after my maternity leave, unless Wes a big raise at his new job. I feel ready to be home. It's been hard to do even my office hours these days. I'm always the topic of conversation at work, whenever someone sees me. They like to make comments like, "you're getting big," or "I think you've dropped," or my favorite comment from a lady at church last week, "I like your mumu." I was wearing this red dress that actually isn't even a maternity dress, but it's just one of those crinkle dresses that stretches a lot. I told Wes that I now need to burn it!
Hopefully, these babies will stay in for another week or two. I just hope they give my back a break.

Getting BIG

Yes, I'm getting big. I feel huge. I hurt a lot, but I don't want to complain in writing. I feel ungrateful if I complain too much. I'm almost there--to my goal of 35 weeks. Hopefully these twins come happy and healthy.
