San Diego Vacation

Kylee loved the rides @ Lego Land

Kylee had fun at the beach, and with her cousins

The best birthday dinner ever--Alaskan King Crab legs for me, and sushi for Wes with Creme Broule and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Yummy!
San Diego was heaven! It is so beautiful there. I could have stayed another week. There is so much to do there, and we loved staying in the huge house in Del Mar--thanks Keri and Dusty. We had a blast at the San Diego Zoo, Lego Land, and the beach. The weather was warm, and we couldn't have asked for more! It was a really fun birthday for me. I'm so glad that we have an awesome family that invites us to go on vacation with them. Kylee loved going down early (she left Sunday with Grammy and Gramps), and we came down Tuesday night after work. Thanks Chris and John for taking such great care of Kylee. She had so much fun with everyone, especially her cousin, Jackson. They played so cute together. I hope we make it back to San Diego again sometime soon.

Kylee is so funny. She says the cutest things these days. I'm always telling my friends at work the cute things she says. Recently, Kylee got a haircut because she said she wanted her hair short and blond. We of course didn't color her hair blond, but we cut it in a cute short bob, with a little bit of layers in the back. I don't have a picture of it yet, but it does look so cute.

Kylee loves to get attention, and she loves to perform. I'm planning on signing her up for dance lessons in January, but in the meantime, she has been practicing with the current season of Dancing with the Stars. She loves to run to her room and change during the commercial breaks. She will come back-out to the family room when the next couple is dancing, and she will do her own version of their dance. It makes it so fun to watch this show. The other night she was watching Biggest Loser with us, and they said to exercise during the commercial breaks to burn an extra 300 calories. Kylee, Wes, and I got up and did jumping jacks, and push-ups. I couldn't believe that Kylee could actually do push-ups! I was so impressed, and Kylee had fun jumping around with her crazy parents!

Kylee's favorite game to play for family home evening is hide-and-seek. She hides in the best places, and sometimes it takes me quite a while to find her. She loves to jump-out and scare us too. It's so fun being a mom, especially when my daughter is such a happy girl!

Pictures

Finally, a new post

At the request of my sisters, here is a little update, and a few pictures. We've been a little busy lately with school, work, Halloween and church callings. Kylee loved trick-or-treating twice this year (once at our ward trunk or treat, and then again on halloween).

Kylee also had a cute party at school where they had a parade for parents to watch, and then did some crafts. Friday is short day, so they only have school from 9-10:45. Kylee was excited to see what all of her classmates would dress-up as, especially here little boyfriend JP. Yes, KYlee has a boyfriend, but they are just "friends." However, when I was volunteering in KYlee's class a few weeks ago, one little boy came up to me and said, "Did you know your daughter has a boyfriend?" This cute little boy (he's about a head shorter than Kylee) follows her around everywhere, and her teacher has to separate them so they "keep their hands to themselves."

Kylee is going to keep us on our toes!

I love my Kylee

For those who don't know Kylee, she is adorable! She says the cutest, funniest things, and she makes me smile everyday. I love how full of life she is and how happy she is to do everything. A few days ago, we bought her a blond wig so she can be Hannah Montana for Halloween. That night, she decided to "practice her songs." She sang and danced to several songs before I had to reel her back down to earth for bed time. She was so upset because she wanted to know all the words to the songs before Halloween. I was finally able to get her to put her pj's on by telling her she has at least another month to rehearse.

Kylee also loves playing soccer. She scored her first goal at her game this Saturday, and she was so proud. After she scored the goal, she turned around to where I was sitting to look for me. She had the biggest smile on her face, it was so cute.

Hope you like the pics

Fun Family Weekend

We had a blast this weekend thanks to Keri and Dusty! Wes' sister decided to bring her family down from Riverton, to celebrate their 15th. wedding anniversary. They just came down for the weekend, but we were so happy to see them and spend time with them. Dusty even spent part of Friday night, and Saturday morning helping Wes put in the sprinkler system. Without Dusty, it would still be a work in progress. Thank you a million times over!

After Kylee's soccer game Saturday morning, we went to Zion's National Park. You see, Keri and Dusty spent their honeymoon traveling the Utah area to all of the different parks and Zion's was one on that list. This was their fist time back since then. I'm sure it was a little different from their honeymoon, now that they have 4 kids! It was a perfect day with beautiful weather. It wasn't too hot, and there was a breeze to keep you cool. Then, Saturday night, we went to Les Mes at Tuchaan. It was really good, and fun to spend time with the Poulsen's.

Kylee's Soccer

Kylee had her first soccer game yesterday. I wasn't able to make it because I had to work. Wes took lots of pictures for me. Her first practice was Thursday, and I went to that with my mom and grandma. It was hilarious, let me tell you. Most of the 4 and 5 year-old girls have never played soccer, including Kylee. Their coach was trying to teach them how to kick the ball, and other basics of the game.

Wes said the game was fun to watch as well. Kylee really loves soccer. She didn't score any goals, but she told me that she kicked the ball! Since the little girls were all crowded around the ball, Kylee had a hard time "getting her turn." Wes is trying to teach Kylee how to be more aggressive.

Busy Summer

Boy, have we had a busy summer thus far (summers last longer in St. George, so ours is not over yet). We went to Lake Powell 3 times (4 for Wes and Kylee), to New York, and had lots of family and friends visit.

Lake Powell with the Sessions this year was perfect. Everything worked perfectly (which has never happened), and nothing bad happened. Wes did hurt his ankle the second to last day, but I'm not counting that because his injury was self-inflicted. I know I've said I told you so already, but, "Wes, I told you so."

Notice there are not any photos of our trip, because we still do not have a camera.

Kylee started school this week, and we weren't able to get any pictures. We did video tape her, and she loved-it! Wes even brought the video camera when we picked her up from school. It was so cute. Everyone was probably wondering what the heck we were doing because last week was really the first week of school , but we missed it since we were gone to Lake Powell. Anywho, Kylee loves her teacher, and is excited to go to school everyday. It was her birthday yesterday, so we brought cupcakes to her class to share. She loves being the center of attention. The principal even gave her a book and a card. Wes took Kylee to her favorite restaurant for lunch (McDonalds), and then last night, we went to the rec. center to go swimming. It was a fun day! When I asked Kylee what her favorite part of the day was, she said, "the cupcakes."

My Amazing Trip to New York

What would I do without my girlfriends? I love that we still do things, and keep in touch. Thanks Natalie, for letting us stay at Eric's company apartment. It really was an amazing trip. The only bad thing that happened, was that I lost my camera. Fortunately, my friends are awesome, and they've already sent me cd's of all their pictures (thanks everyone!).

One of my favorite parts of the entire trip, was when we just arrived, and met-up with all the girls. It was so good to see everyone again, and I loved how excited everyone was to see each other. I also loved the little moments, like hanging-out in the apartment, or waiting in some line. I even loved walking around until my feet hurt. I can't believe no one complained. Seriously, we were running on little-to no sleep at all, and hungry a lot of the time, but we all had a blast;.

The sheer size of New York is incredible. The city is huge, and 4 days was not enough time. We did create a lot of fun memories. The subways were grose, but we managed to find our way around, thanks to Aubrey Howell. I'll never forget that pizza place, or Nat's kiss to the pizza guy, John. I laughed until I cried. Dylan's candy store was so fun, and I loved how excited we all were. It was like we were little kids again. Was it Stef who loaded up on gummi bears?

Thanks girls, for all the good times!

July Update

So much has happened lately, it's hard to know where to start. Wes, Kylee, and I spoke in sacrament meeting today. Kylee wanted to speak, so we let her bear her testimony. When we were getting ready for church, I asked Kylee what she was going to say, and she said,"you'll just have to wait and see." I did have to help her a little when she first started, but then I sat down, and she finished. It was so cute, and more people commented on her talk than mine or Wes'.

Yesterday, I floated to the NICU, and I got to hold the cutest little babies! I'm so baby hungry. I can't wait until Wes and I have more children. I hope it's soon. Wes and I are both taking fertility drugs, so I hope they work. We also have Wes' boat for sale just in case we have to pay for invitro! Our neighbors just did it, and they said it costs about $20,000.

I also recently got back from my trip to New York. I went with my best friends from high school and college. It was a girls only trip. We had so much fun. Unfortunately, I lost my camera in New York so I don't have any pictures to post yet. My girlfriends are going to send me a cd of their's, so I'll post some soon.

Our New Home

Some people have been asking to see a few pictures of our new home. We're not totally settled in yet, but we're getting there. Wes has been working on finishing the backyard, but just the other night, we changed our minds on the layout, and we're starting over! Yes, we're even removing the block-wall that we added, and the RV pad. Wes saw a neighbor's RV entrance on the side yard, with landscaping to kind-of hide the entrance. I don't know if that makes sense, but the layout seems much better, and it will leave us a lot more room in our backyard since the RV pad will no longer be taking-up a large portion of it. For those of you who have seen our backyard, you understand.

Our day at the lake

We went to Quail Lake today. It was fun to take the boat out, and the weather was beautiful. It was a perfect day on the water (too bad so many other people though so too). We went with our neighbors. The kids were a little grouchy, but they had fun. Wes had to force Kylee on the surf-board because she changed her mind at the last minute, and wouldn't go. You can tell from her face that she really likes it though. We love it here in St. George where we are so close to a couple lakes. Wes is really excited for Lake Powell too. Our last trip to Powell was a little chilly, so hopefully the one in July will be a little warmer.

My sweet Wesley

I guess to start this blog out right, I need to write about my wonderful husband. Thank you Wes, for being such a great father and husband. I really do appreciate all that you do. Since I have been working full-time again, he has taken care of Kylee so well. He totally gets Kylee up and ready for day-care, and picks her up. He basically is super dad! Tonight, when I came home from work, he was in the backyard digging the area for Kylee's sandbox. What a good hubby! He works so hard at his job, and at home, that I just thought he needed a little pat on the back. I love you honey! Happy Father's day.

Here we go!

I thought I would try and keep-up with my friends, and start a blog. I love reading about what's going on in eveyone's lives through their blogs, so I'll give it a try. Hopefully, I will be able to figure this all out.
